Appointments

Getting ready for an appointment
Guides are published here, and visits are not booked here. If you came here because an appointment is coming up, the steps below put your preparation in order.
- Write down what you have noticed, with dates. If you are preparing for a visit about perimenopause, the Menopause Society page on perimenopause is a plain public reference.
- List every medicine and supplement you take, with doses.
- Write your questions. For any question about bioidentical hormones, start with the Cleveland Clinic page on bioidentical hormones, their uses, and safety so the question is specific.
- Ask the office whether any lab work is planned and what it is for.
What to carry with you
Check what you need to bring: your insurance card, your medicine list, and your notes. If you have no insurance card to bring yet, Covered California is where Californians enroll in health plans.

Use the contact form below to send a question about the guides. For the clinic or office you plan to visit, use that office's own contact details, since the form does not reach them. For more reading, the other guides follow the same order of steps. For a public starting point, read the Office on Women's Health page of menopause basics.
